Boermarke: Battery Storage

A 2,097 kWh / 900 kW battery energy storage system that we keep performing, safe and available, day and night.

For a dairy producer in Enschede with high, continuous energy demand from cooling and production, our partner Generation Green designed and built a powerful battery system: nine batteries totalling 2,097 kWh, 900 kW of power and a 4,000 A main distribution board. It shaves peak loads, optimises grid capacity and lets the site actively participate in the energy markets, and it's ready for future expansion with solar.

Once a system like this goes live, the real work begins. Green Teams Europe took on the operations & maintenance of the installation, making sure every kWh stays available and every safety standard is met, year after year.

Our role: Operations & Maintenance

• 24/7 remote monitoring of the BMS, EMS and PCS, with alarm and fault handling
• Preventive maintenance to protect availability, efficiency and battery health
• Corrective maintenance and on-site troubleshooting when issues arise
• Root-cause analysis and performance optimisation against availability and degradation targets
• Safe working practices including LOTO and HV/DC safety per NEN 3140 / 3840
• Clear reporting and a single point of contact for the asset owner

It's a textbook example of how we work with developers and EPCs: they build, we keep it running, so the asset delivers on its business case for its entire lifetime.
