Technical Asset Manager

About the role

Keep our PV and BESS assets technically sound and optimised, with performance, reliability and maintenance strategy improving all the time.

As Technical Asset Manager you hold the technical ownership of our assets throughout their operational phase. You translate what happens in the field into concrete technical actions, maintenance plans and improvement measures, and you are the technical point of contact for our clients.

What you’ll do

Asset intake & technical assurance

• Carry out the technical intake of new assets
• Check as-built documentation for completeness and accuracy
• Map the installation, the configuration and the critical components
• Record the technical baselines and the risks

Technical asset management

• Draw up the maintenance strategy (preventive, corrective, condition-based)
• Determine which maintenance and repair actions are needed
• Assess failures and guide the work through root cause analyses
• Translate data analyses into concrete technical actions

Steering service on content

• Build work packages based on the maintenance plans
• Hand the work over to Service Coordination
• Guide complex failures and work on the technical substance
• Prioritise actions on risk, impact and contract

Calculation & repair proposals

• Work out technical solutions for failures and optimisations
• Calculate repair measures, replacements and upgrades
• Draw up quotations for the client
• Align with suppliers on technical solutions and pricing

Performance & optimisation

• Analyse inspection reports
• Initiate optimisations and improvement measures
• Advise on upgrades, retrofits and improvements

Clients & technical point of contact

• Be the technical point of contact for our clients
• Explain performance, failures and solutions
• Advise on maintenance strategy and optimisation
• Safeguard the technical quality of our service

• The technically correct operation and the reliability of the assets
• The quality of the maintenance strategy and the technical choices
• The accuracy and completeness of the asset documentation
• The substance of quotations and repair proposals
• Turning data into concrete actions
• Technical client satisfaction

What you decide yourself

This is a role with a real mandate. The technical calls are yours to make:

• You set the maintenance strategy and the technical approach
• You prioritise failures and actions
• You determine the technical solutions and repair methods
• You determine the technical substance of proposals and quotations

What we’re looking for

• HBO working and thinking level (Electrical or Energy engineering, or similar)
• Experience with the technical management of PV and/or BESS assets in their operational phase
• Strong in root cause analysis and in turning data into concrete actions
• Experience drawing up maintenance strategies (preventive, corrective, condition-based)
• Able to calculate and to substantiate technical proposals towards a client
• A strong communicator: you explain the technology without watering it down
• Knowledge of electrotechnical safety; NEN 3140 or VCA a plus
