Green Teams Europe x Windesheim Traineeship
Build your career while helping build Europe’s energy transition. Work four days a week at Green Teams Europe and study one day a week at Windesheim — with real responsibility from day one, growing towards a professional role in Project Management, Technical Asset Management or Service Coordination.
About the traineeship
Why wait four years before starting your professional career when you can work and learn from day one?
Green Teams Europe has partnered with Windesheim University of Applied Sciences for its Work-Based Learning Business Administration programme: a unique four-year route combining an HBO bachelor’s programme in Business Administration with a real job at Green Teams Europe.
You join Green Teams Europe on a full-time employment contract. Four days a week you work within our organisation and one day a week you attend Windesheim. What you learn during your studies can immediately be applied in your day-to-day work.
You will not be doing this alone. Together, we create a personal four-year growth plan. Green Teams Europe guides your development in the workplace, while Windesheim supports your academic and professional development.
At the same time, your work already contributes to something bigger: accelerating Europe’s energy transition.
About Green Teams Europe
Green Teams Europe builds, manages and maintains renewable-energy projects in the Netherlands and across Europe. We work on large-scale solar PV, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), engineering, project management, service & maintenance and technical asset management.
We are a hands-on organisation. No endless layers and no theoretical plans that disappear into a drawer. We believe in short communication lines, ownership and people who make things happen.
Our mission is clear: to lead the energy transition by delivering and maintaining impressive, future-proof energy projects.

Where can you start?
You do not need to know exactly where you want to be four years from now. Together, we look at your strengths, interests and ambitions and choose the best place to start. During the traineeship, you will also have the opportunity to explore other roles and teams within Green Teams Europe.
Possible starting positions include:
Junior Project Manager
Learn how renewable-energy projects are managed from kick-off to handover. You work with clients, suppliers, subcontractors and field teams and learn to manage planning, quality, safety and budgets.
Junior Technical Asset Manager
Learn how PV and BESS assets are technically managed throughout their operational lifetime. You work with data, failures, maintenance strategies, technical analyses and improvements and gradually build towards technical ownership of renewable assets.
Junior Service Coordinator
Become the link between our customers and our technical teams in the field. You learn to plan service activities, follow up technical questions, support technicians and ensure that every intervention is properly documented and communicated.
The vacancies above show what these positions can develop into. Within the traineeship, you start at junior level and gradually build up your responsibilities.
Your four-year growth path
This is not an internship where you simply observe. From the start, you are part of Green Teams Europe and work on real assignments with real responsibility. As your knowledge and experience grow, your role grows with you.
Together, we create a personal development plan for the full four-year programme, covering areas such as:
- Professional and technical development
- Leadership and ownership
- Communication with customers and colleagues
- Commercial and business skills
- Project and process management
- Knowledge of renewable-energy technology
- Your personal ambitions
Want to explore another direction during the programme? You will have the freedom to gain experience in other teams and disciplines within our organisation.
Our goal is not only for you to graduate with an HBO bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. After four years, we want you to have four years of relevant professional experience as well — and to be ready to take ownership of a serious role within our organisation.
What we’re looking for
We are not looking for someone who already knows everything. That’s exactly why this traineeship exists. We are looking for someone who wants to learn, takes responsibility and likes to make things happen. You:
- Are starting or are eligible for the HBO Business Administration — Work-Based Learning programme at Windesheim
- Have an interest in technology, renewable energy and/or the energy transition
- Meet the educational requirements for admission to an HBO programme
- Preferably have an MBO-4 background in electrical engineering or another technical field, although this is not required
- Communicate confidently in Dutch and English
- Have a category B driving licence
- Are curious, independent and comfortable asking questions
- Take initiative rather than waiting for someone to tell you exactly what to do
- Are reliable and take responsibility for your commitments
- Do not have a strict 9-to-5 mindset and understand that projects and customers sometimes require flexibility
Technical knowledge can be learned. Your mindset, ability to learn and drive matter just as much to us.
